The end of the Polio Concert in Perth, Australia, built the public support and momentum required to close the funding gap that threatened progress toward the worldwide eradication of polio. Three months of advocacy efforts culminated in the “End of Polio” concert headlined by John Legend and a host of Australian national bands with a live audience of more than 4,000 and over 350,000 more in video views. The effort helped secure $188 million for polio eradication.
